Nikki the Nursing Manikin with Auscultation offers 11 anterior and 4 posterior auscultation sites with 42 high quality sounds powered by Cardionics – the Leader in Auscultation Simulation. The manikin was developed specifically for scenario-based simulation to improve competency in patient care and advanced nursing skills.

Nikki the Nursing Manikin simulates an adult, life-size patient and comes with the NursingScope Auscultation Training Stethoscope powered by Cardionics. NursingScope is an electronic simulation-training stethoscope created for auscultation training purposes or objective structured clinical examinations (O.S.C.E.). It functions wirelessly with the included controller device and gives the instructor access to the large high quality sound library from Cardionics. The instructor can select and change any of the physiological and pathological sounds that the trainees will hear through the NursingScope once they place the stethoscope on one of the auscultation sites of the manikin.

The auscultation sounds library includes:

• 21 heart sounds
• 15 lungs sounds
• 6 bowel sounds

The instructor can easily change the auscultation sounds on the controller device for each of the 15 locations using NursingScope’s wireless functionality. Thus, the instructor has a tool to adapt the scenario on the spot, so that it fits any nursing curriculum or training program. Nikki the Nursing Manikin can be set up both as a male or a female patient thanks to interchangeable genitals and can be positioned like a real patient with natural movement of the arms, legs, and joints. Nikki can sit upright in the bed for treatments and examinations, making it the ideal training solution for bedside competencies. It is made of durable, unbreakable, and water-resistant plastics for longevity in the everyday training use.
